Saiko Comics
SAIKO is the child of my Think Less Drow More Project from 2009. What started as a series of editorial illustrations inspired by personal experiences developed into Saiko Comics #1: Quarter Life Crisis and Saiko Comics #2: Peter Pan Syndrome.
‘SAIKO’ THERAPY
Each Saiko comic strip is my honest reflection on being an adult. Drawing and writing Saiko was my way of looking on the bright side of difficult situations through humour. There is a fine line between comedy and tragedy, and I believe that our ability to laugh makes all the difference.
In July 2010, I self produced limited copies of Saiko Comics #1 and fulfilled my ultimate childhood dream of having my own comics. I gave it to my friends and family, and swapped with fellow indie artists and zine makers from all over the world. I included photos sent by Saiko readers in Saiko Comics #2 (published in October 2010).
