Hello! I’m Aphrodite. I’m a visual artist and story teller, and my creative process is inspired by art, music, photography, literature, languages, people and the world around me.
I grew up in Manila Philippines and I’ve been living and creating in Sydney Australia for the past 20 years. I speak Tagalog, English, and Spanish (intermediate), and I am learning Japanese. My experiences as a migrant are always a present theme in my work and creative process.
Illustration is my passion. I always draw with honesty and humour, leaving a piece of my heart and soul in every artwork I create. From 2009 to 2019, I made comics and digital art under the alias Drowmore as part of my Think Less Drow More project.
Design is my profession. I have a Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) from Western Sydney University and my creative portfolio includes works for Macquarie University, UNSW Business School, UNSW Sydney, Uniting NSW/ACT, Think+DO Tank Foundation and Lost In Books.
