The End of the World

A short video journal of my trip to South America shot entirely on my android mobile phone camera.

I travelled to the (southern) end of the world in October 2019 with my trusted travel buddy, Maricris. We followed the Andean mountains from Cuzco Peru all the way down to the Chilean and Argentinian Patagonia over four weeks.

I am not going to write about my experience here. Until now, I still have no words to describe the wonder and awe of seeing Machu Picchu, la cordillera de los Andes, el disierto de Atacama, Patagonia, Torres del Paine, Monte Fitz Roy and Glaciar Perito Moreno with my own eyes.

Maybe if I get better in Español or learn Quechua and Tehuelche or any of the indigenous languages still being spoken across America del sur, then I’ll be able to articulate my experience of Peru, Chile and Argentina, and what I’ve learned about its rich history, colourful culture, diverse landscapes and beautiful people.

Until then, I hope this video journal gives you an idea of what “the end of the world” looks like and I hope it inspires you to experience it for yourself.
