Art For Guide Dogs “Blue”
I was honoured to be one of the 70 artists, schools, celebrities, designers, and community groups that have painted Guide Dogs NSW/ACT’s iconic model dog collection boxes as part of Sydney Chinese New Year 2018 (“Year of the Dog”) celebrations. The fine pack of pooches were on display in Circular Quay – Scout Place (outside AMP Building) and Custom’s House from 16 – 25 February 2018. The public was able to vote for their favourite design by donating and placing coins into the model dogs.
My Art Dog “Blue” is inspired by Chinese porcelain from the Ming dynasty; it features patterns and scenes hand painted and drawn in cobalt and blue colours. The artwork is an illustration of a Guide Dog’s journey from birth to finding a puppy raising family, training and graduating to become someone’s eyes and companion. This dog is not only a celebration of the Chinese New Year Festival and the Year of the Dog but it is also a tribute to 60 years of great work by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT changing lives for the better.

Thanks to the generous buyer for supporting my art & the amazing work of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
Congratulations to everyone involved. It has been a great success for Guide Dogs. $40,000+ raised so far from the art dog sale, merchandise and donations.
